It seems it depends on where you are living. Around large cities, certain members have had serious issues with false alerts, but out in the boonies (where I live) and in small cities, it seems to work well.
Some cities have no major problem with false alerts.
I never tested a Whistler in the Bay Area before, but I'm almost positive it would false like crazy there, since that area is similar to the areas where I have tested Whistlers(SoCal, Las Vegas and Phoenix). This is what it sounded like driving around LA/Orange County for about 80 miles in the least filtered mode. Now, you can reduce the Ka falses to some degree by changing the Whistler's settings, but that seems to hurt performance in a big way and it will still false Ka a lot worse than your Bel, something like 100 times worse by my estimation.
The other problem the Whistler Pro 3600 has is that you can't really disable X band, without disabling K band as well. With X band disabled and K band enabled, the Whistler many times just reports the X band false alert as K band. This makes for a very noisy radar detector in the city.
There are K band drones EVERYWHERE, but Ka drones?
That X/K falsing is bad as I drive near an airport with LOADS of X everywhere...
