Compared to the Whistler upper end series XTR-690se/XTR-695se/Pro-78se and Pro 3600, the main differences are:

Two filter modes in XTR-543 instead of three (SE series also has filter 2 which is a stronger filter over filter/filter 1). TFSR may compensate for that - I honestly don't know.

XTR-543 has no Ka-MAX mode so will not be quite as sensitive on that particular band.

XTR-543 does not display band frequencies on Ka or pulserate on laser.

Otherwise the features are about the same with a few variations pertaining to the displays. The display on the 543 is blue backlit LCD - I'd guess similar to the 695se but without all the pretty backlight color options.

What is the battery life of this unit anyway - just was curious.
