Pro-73 Ka band detection

anyone had good Ka detection with the pro-73? I ran into a big time speedtrap recently, one of those that's really huge that cities like to do once a year on their major roads. Anyways, I got Ka, but I couldn't find the cop... but I know they were out there, I made like 8 trips on that road that day, almost evertime someone was pulled over.

not to sound like a smart a s s. But whistler alerted you of the ka and you went home and did not get a ticket. Whistler did its job. If you want to know where the alert was then get a $400 V1. One thing ka is hard to pick up by any radar detector even the high ends. One time I have had only seconds to slow down when i got a ka hit with my v1. Whistler gives more then enough warning on ka band. I just recommend lightly going on the breaks the minute you hear the detector go off on ka band. I feel as though waiting for the signal to build then slowing down is dangerous on any detector.

Anyway what do you mean you couldn't find him, there were just random cars sitting on the side of the road getting tickets written by invisible men or what?

well, I didn't get a ticket because I wasn't speeding, and the reason I was wondering about this, was because I didn't know where the cop was, so I don't know about the detection.

SmaartAasSaabr, obviously, there were police there. It is quite clear in my post that I said I could not find the cop that was shooting radar, not I couldn't find the ones that had people pulled over. My question is whether or not anyone has had a Ka hit with their pro-73 and was willing to share results.

However, it sounds like it has been working pretty well for bfg9000d, sweet. They almost never shoot Ka in my town, as far as I've seen so far.

ive gotten some good detection on mine but it seems if the cop is facing the same direction you are on the road targeting the oncoming trafic you get really ****ty detection i will get 8 when im like .1 mile away and thats it. soon as i drive past them i will get like a 2 or a 3 for at least 1/4 mile. but if they are facing torwards you or adjacent i get at least enough time to slow down i havent gotten much driving time with it but it seems to pick it up just in time to slow down but for me driving only 5-10 over thats fine for me.
