    Default New "Super Cup"

I Just got an email from Bel about their new "Super Cup" mount. I like the idea of this kind of mount alot more then the kind they currently have. It seems that you are able to adjust the angle in a easer fashion, and quickly removing and remounting will be alot easer too.

I might just have to try it out.

    Your thoughts?

    too big.

the only windshield detector I have in use right now is the V1 and I like its mount I can tuck it up high on the WS nice and hidden.

recently I tried out the visor mount and I liked it even less noticeable as an RD.

and I don't need one for my STiR

I think it's good Belscort is providing a solution to their flimsy suction cup mounts that come with their RDs. It doesn't look bad actually:

It is HEAVY DUTY. The suction cup uses a locking lever which applies constant suction force to the cup. It could probably lift the windshield out of the car! It will also reduce bouncing of the detector when you run over bumps or potholes.

We have already sold thousands and everyone seems to love it. The only possible negative comment that I have heard about it is that it puts the detector a few more inches toward the rear of the car than the standard 2 cup mount, although those with highly raked windshields (sports cars) seem to love this aspect of it.

I think it is a GREAT product! I have been very happy with mine. It is very adjustable, sturdy and does not cause much RD vibration.

I can not see where 1 or 2 inches further back inside the car could make that much difference unless you are mounting it on a Hummer H1 or Jeep CJ style WS.

I like it enough that I have ordered another one for my daughters car.

My favorite aspects are that it sticks in cold weather and it comes off quickly only when needed.

My one wish (it doesn't affect me but I have read where others find it hindering) is if the second rendition would allow for some flexibility in the L-R axis for those that do not mount the RD in the center of a curved WS.

I give it 5 STARS and hope that Escort adds this to the included accessories on the higher end RDs.

Sounds like they are listening to their customers, and giving them solutions.

The problem is if you hard wire and mount high by RV sticks out to far, hits visor and is blocked by RV. The only way to use this new mount is low to mid windshield.

I guess that is why it doesn't bother me. I either use it directly below the RVM or just to the left of it and I never have a passenger in the vehicle that I mount it to the right of so the visor is never used. I also have a 9500i or ix and the are long anyways when compared to other detectors.

Anyone have any pictures they can share of trying to mount this as high as possible, say high and to the left or right of the RVM? Just curious how high up you can reasonably get it, if at all...or is it only for mid/low mounting?
