I'd like to see someone with this problem try putting something like a lead shield in front of the radar emitters on the car. I think that a thin piece of lead would completely absorb the signals, and wouldn't cause any error codes like cutting wires would do.

Get rid of the car and tell BMW why. The idea of producing a performance car whose gadgetry creates obstacles to performance doesn't make sense. Bummer, but the latest Audis, Mercedes and BMWs are p'ing me off with their falsies.

Find where it is emitting the k band and cover it in duck tape is my only suggestion. Im being serious. Find the source and cover it.

Duck tape won't do **** to radar. Radar != Laser

You might want to ask your BMW SA to check if they can tune the ACC out of this K-band range, although I'm thinking that it will probably put it into a band not allowed by the FCC. Good luck.

Oh yeah, he might just be able to ask the dealership to remove it.

Does your area use k band? If so and I were you. I would run my stir+:
x on(only if x is used in your area)
    K-off
Ka- seg 2,5,8 on all rest off
    Rdr- off
    Automute-on
    Tsr-off
    Laser -on

And then I would purchase a redlined and run it at the top of my passenger windshield just below the tint strip. And set it up:
    X-off
    K-on
    Ka-on
    Laser-on
    Automute-on

Well that's my setup but I don't use x on either.
