Having an issue it seems with my beltronics sti driver.... was wondering if anybody else out there has had this issue with their sti. It will one time detect k band outstanding outperforming or matching v1. Then the next it will underperform to the point that I have actually drove right past a gfs foods which was a highly known k band false and I received nothing untill after I passed gfs? Why is beltronics so unreliable you would think for 500 bucks it wouldn't fade in and out maybe I should take Nma's advice and send into Beltronics. It seems like just yesterday I got the unit though and im already seeming to have an issue with it?

I was thinking Mike B's lab results kinda tell all when it comes to the STI. You know it detected that time but not the next.
I have also seen a rx65 fail with K band very badly. Think outrun posted a vid using his bushman K band gun the 65 detected K band something like 50% of the time. Anyway.......

I reckon alpinestars_2002795 problem is the doors freq is outside the the STI's K band scan and when he gone down the road a bit the K band reflexion bounces it back into the STI K ban detection. The reason why it's doing this now could be the shop owner has moved the automatic door opener mount to stop the door from giving false alerts (people walking by but not coming in) Also it's cold over that way right so keep the door closed!!
I'm sure the V1 will still pick up the door in "A" mode as the K band scan on the V1 is a bit wider the the StI's. alpinestars_2002795 you could test this out with the feq's display on the STI to see what freq the doors giving off when the STI's detects the door.

Ya NMAMember you got connections at beltronics right??? Is there anyway you could help me out with this prepaid shipping label as i have tried that in the past and they said f-me!! ??? I am now definetly sending it in to be once overed and fixed tho..something ain't right i know that much...

Ya nice ain't they tho? You just paid over 500 bucks for a detector but yet f-u when it comes to a prepaid shipping label...??? I mean come on!! Its a buisness write off anyhow....
