I don't see them talked about on here really. Just wondering if it's time to trade in.

Me neither and I also have one. For being a "poor relation" of the RX65 and in the same "premium" family they sure are ignored. I have had fairly good luck with mine and with the exception of an "81mph in a 65 mph" ticket on the Pa turnpike a 1 1/2 years ago (I.O. K band and I was first in line) it did its job just fine.
The detector is a second class unit. Its K and Ka performance aren't on par with the RX65 family. Actually the RX55 is based on M2 technology, the RX65 family is M4 or S7 technology. Different design, less performance, fewer options. The RX55 K and Ka sensitivity is typically 9-12 dB less than the RX65.
Bel RX55 has less range and falses more then the Bel RX65.Originally Posted by evilhomer

The one thing I noticed with the RX-55 is that it's really light. Like half the weight of an RX-65 which has the same casing.
How much do they offer you for RX-55?Originally Posted by evilhomer
