    Default Beltronics Vector 955

Well, new to the forums and "decent" radar detectors.

Needed it for a upcomming 1200 mile drive (sigh). Someone make me feel better for plopping coin on it.

Reason i say this. I actually have 2 OLD ones that i used to roll when i was younger. They took me to ohio from kansas pegging 90-100 the entire way. And they were far from "good". I could dig em up, but im 99% sure they were garbage at the time i used em as far as high end goes. I mean, they were 5+ years old when they got gifted to me yet worked great sans constant falses in towns.

So Beltronics Vector 955 Radar, Worth the 172$ overnighted? (Yes, i bought from ray, dont worry =P)

The 955 is an excellent budget detector. Circuit City has them on sale for even less online at present. Check it out.

    Not with overnight shipping tho

That, and the closest one i have is 50 miles away. So tack on 10 bucks for gas. Just not worth it

Hell i figured id support the site. And he gives the hole satisfaction thing.

If the CC is that far away then of course your current deal sounds great.

Oops my fault on that, My response didn't show up for whatever reason.

I was just saying that if CC is that far away then your current deal is probably best.

Just make sure its level and perpendicular to the road. Don't mount it behind any tint strips.

If your on the highway leave it on the "highway" setting. City modes just reduce the x band sensitivity if your getting alot of X falses in town.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll love the 995.

I was going to suggest if there was a circuit city on your route, then you could take a quick pit and pick it up. Stay under the radar for the first bit

Was considering this but meh, itll be here in 30 hours unless rays shipping and packing process is slow.

Rather get some use out of it for my 100 mile a day commute to work and get used to it before the long haul
