Whistler 1660 or Bel Express 936

At my local pawnshop I am thinking of buying a Whistler 1660 or a Bel Express 936. I know that these are older models but I can't afford a V1. I read the epinions review but thats it. Were there any types of tests conducted with these units, and/or does anyone have any experience with them?

How much can you pick these up for at the pawn shop?

x2 Most anything is better then nothing, but I wouldnt count on too much from either unit... Certainly wouldnt go anything past 5 over.

I have the Bel Express LI which I think is the equivalent of the 946 or 936.
Put out around 1999. I paid 200 for it awhile back. Its better than nothing and is a reminder to keep it under. I wouldnt pay more thab 30 bucks for one now since they dont have the range and filtration etc of the newer. It does have instant on detection. I just consider it helpful in the way of setting up for an approaching LEO, Because with my luck I pull a quick maneuver around someone and there they are to witness it.

Bel 936 sensitivity:

X=108.2
K=106.3
Ka=103.0 (average of three bands)

Owned one, used it for years, not bad, not awesome either.

Whistler 1660 sensitivity:

X=103.3
K=100.9
Ka=91.8 (average of three bands)

Never owned one, can't believe it would be worth owning given it's Ka sensitivity.
