    Default Q for Lord

Lord since you have 2 vectors and 1 m4 and 1 s7, what is your opinions on both. Also, how is the S7's ramp up compared to the newer m4's ramp up?

Little button called "Search", right on the top-center of your screen.

Performance wise. They are basically the same. The m4 has a slight, and I mean slight (1-2 seconds) advantage on 35.5 Ka. I have learned to appreciate the way the m4 design shaves off useless off axis falses. Against true threats they are on top of each other.

Laser detection goes hands down to the m4 IMO. No falses by airports and picked up a scatter shot on a car 25 yards or so ahead

The m4's display is crisper and brighter.

As for the ramp up, I prefer the more subdued ramp up of the 4.5 s7 then the 6.3 m4. The m4 ramp up is too extreme for my tastes. I use the tech display and use the audio ramp up only.

I have a V995 S7 for the car and a V955 M4 for the bike. The V995 was sent in recently for work at Bel and I just bought the V955 recently. So I'm not as familiar with their differences yet. Plus, I use them very differently. The V995 in the car, I can see what it's doing, and keep track of it's idiosyncrasies. But the V955 on the bike, I monitor via a H.A.R.D. device, so I'm not fiddling with it as much.

With my V995 S7, I think I get a few more alerts on Ka when I'm crossing intersections, perhaps indicative of LEO running radar off-axis to me. But it's just a hypothesis at this point.

They're much more alike than they are different. Both of them pick up radar signs and LEO's running radar well in advance. Both RDs false on Laser at the same points when I pass the airport. Overall, I've been quite happy with both devices.

Lord that is what I was thinking, the ramp up on the S7 is more consistant and linear. Other people tell me what you think.

Lord are you getting more K falses on the S7? as compared to the M4? or is the S7 more sensitive on K?

I have a V995 S7 and a V955 M4 and I do not notice a differance in performance other than all the K falses I get in town.

I assume you are getting more K falses from the 995?

Yes..alot more!!!. I will probably keep both and use my V955 around town and the V995 when I know I'm going to be out on the highway since everyone says it does better on hills and slight turns.

Yes, the s7 falses K a heck of alot more than the m4, due to the design of the m4 platform I'm sure. I love the quieter ride of my m4 995.

I tested the two against a K band speed trailer a while back. Made 12 runs around two bends. Both platforms consistently alerted at .7 miles. Again, around two bends.

mmhardy, I'm pleased that you did not allow the nonsense spewed in your s7 vs. m4 thread to form your opinion of the m4. Way to go testing the two and judging for yourself...It's obvious when you compare the two first hand what the truth actually is.
