Default just picked up Bel 995

I had a cobra 797/9330 but that thing just didnt pick up anything fast enough for me to react. Sometimes it did but most of the time it didnt. So I went and bought the bel 995 (m4). I am new here btw. I have been reading for about a month or so and decided to finally register.

Welcome to the forum: You will find the V995 to be far superior to your Cobra in every detection category (especially Ka band).

That is a very smart purchase.

    Hi Mustang_guy17,

    Welcome aboard!

Lurking here on the forum for a month, doing a lot of reading, and finally registered? I would say that you are on your way to becoming a diehard radar detector user! 8)

I too started off with a V995 (still have it and use it occasionally now that I have gotten it back from its extended loan to a friend). The V995 is a very good radar detector. Do you still have the Cobra? It would be neat if you kept the Cobra in your car so that, if and when you encounter 35.5 Ka band radar with your V995 and note the V995's excellent range against this radar frequency, you can then quickly plug in your Cobra and report to us about its much shorter range.

Yea I can do that. That cobra once gave me about 2mile ka range. On I10 but that was a rarity and it never happened again. But I will try to do this to test them next time i get out.

You can't stable your Mustang. Mustangs are meant to run. Let it loose!

I remember in highschool I would fill up my tank for 15 bucks and have 5 left from the 20 spot from pop to take the g-friend thru taco bell for tacos and have 1.25 left for smokes. Wow how times have changed, cant afford to just cruise all night like then. I guess Sitting and admiring your car and benchracing is still free. Wonder how many of us have parked on a strip to pick up radar and let the cops cruise up and back while we test our detectors since gas is so high? Your gonna like the 995, I have one and it works really well with low falses and great ka sensativity.
