Just ordered the RX65 Pro!

Finally managed enough money to buy an upgraded RD, I was looking around for something around the lower $200-250 range, I was set on getting the Vector 995 but then I came across the RX65 Pro Red display for the same price as the V995 so I jumped on it! Very excited for it to come in! Finally get to play with the TECH display and distinguish the different Ka bands =)

I have the blue display. Love the detector all together. I run mine where you can see the different frequs. I actually have really good hill range. Off axis could be a bit better, but plenty good. It's a pretty quiet radar, i can't really tell the difference between autoscan and highway in the city im at right now. So I usually run highway mode. The one thing I don't like is the brightness levels. I wish the dark would be when it detects radar it shows the frequ # instead of just chirping. So I usually run it in bright min at night. And I have it mounted high(rvm) and it's kind of hard to see the display. Other than those two factors its great. Hope you enjoy it.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up.. While on the Tech display, what happens? Does the display show for example "Ka 34.705 GHz" then will it change to the signal bar? or is it a constant freq display? All this is new to me haha

It's a constant frequency display. I along with many other Escort users have asked for a combination of Spec and bar graph display but I don't know if it will ever be done.

I run an RX75 which is the same RD in a remote configuration along with a V1.

I believe the off-axis complaints are overrated. It may not be as sensitive as the S7 but it'll give you pretty decent warning of a real threat. It doesn't give those 2 mile slow ramp warnings of on-axis threats like the V1 but it's adequate.

It seems to be identical on Ka I/O to the V1.

When I use my RX-65, I run it in USA mode I think it helps. It dosen't scan the KA frequency's used in Europe. Some members say this could be dangerous because if the cops radar is out of tune it might not pick it up, but I have never had any issues.
Radar Roy also seems to recommend this mode.

I agree the more that complain the better. Bel also has a forum you can voice your concerns on.

Turn off the POP detection, turn on Ka USA. There's some discussion that tilting it forward about 10 degrees increases range. My experience is that it does, but only for K band. For Ka band it makes little or no difference.
