Default STi-R and LI Quad install on BMW 550i, Any Tips?

I have a new STi-R and LI Quad to install on my '08, and am looking for any previous install suggestions for placement and wire routing. I am familiar with gadgetman's install on an '08 M5 but there are several differences between the cars for both placement and routing.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cal

Sorry, these pics weren't taken for this purpose. There aren't many options for sensor head placement. I've had good advice on placement, so I don't think that's my main concern.

On the front, I intend the two regular heads to be mounted to the upper edge of the lower grill, just inboard of the two cameras - or outboard if there is room and it's horizontal, but I don't think it will be. I will place the STi-R sensor centered, but with enough cable to move it to one side of a plate if I get forced to mount one. On the rear, I intend to mount two slim heads outboard from the plate to the underside of the trunk lid, just out from the plate lamps.

My main search for been-there-done-that type advice is on cable routing, placement of the cpu, etc. I'd like to minimize the risk of damage to the fit/appearance of interior trim and components with the install of these devices. I was hoping for a prior e60 install to steal good ideas from.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,

    Cal

I don't have any pictures of the install I did on a 550i, if you post up some pictures again I will be more than glad to point out where were had a Bel RX75Pro installed on a vehicle to give you some ideas.

Keep in mind with your 550i, I think it came standard with the adaptive cruise, which emits a constant K band (i think, too early this morning to remember, might be X band) radar signal from the heads in your front grill. If you don't have this option, consider yourself lucky, if you do have this option, you need to disable the band in full otherwise your detector will constantly be detecting the vehicle it is attached to, rending it useless for other bands.

Yes. For the STi-r radar antenna, make sure it has a clear view of the road. Install it just like this:

    The "humps" go on top.

For the LI jammer heads, be sure they are level, have a clear view of the road, and are pointing straight. If you are installing the heads horizontally, then install them like this:

    If vertical:

Rear LI install needs to be just like this:
