Differences between RX-65 and V965

I use a RX65, and am looking for another RD for my gf. I recently saw an used V965 on sale for about $40. However, I have no personal experience with Beltronic's Vector lineup.

What is the difference between the RX65 and V965? Seems like the V965 is an "outdated" product and is no longer sold in stores. Any comments on the V965's antenna horn type or sensitivity?

Also, how does the V965 compare to Escort's refurbished 8500?

The v965 is simply a v955 that was sold with a carrying case, nothing more.
