    Default Service Required

Worst case scenario yesterday evening...I'm headed to the beach in rush hour traffic and I see an AA county LEO coming at me, as I glance over, I see he has a radar unit mounted in the center of his dash. I turn to my Bel and it is flashing "Service Required" and is in silent mode. I just can't believe the timing. I felt so naked on my way to the beach b/c no matter what route one takes, all paths are gauntlets for radar traps.

My problem is that my Bel is an older model RX65, from 2005 and has the s7 internals (version 3.6) and if I send the unit back to Bel, do you think they will switch horns?

I'm really dreading the call Monday morning, but Bel has always taken care of me...I've been a loyal customer since 1991.

They won't switch horns, they'll repair it and send it back to you working better than ever.

You don't want the new horn either, the S7 still kicks a$$.

x2, to me Belscort has produced the M3/S7, I now refuse to recognize the back-step POS known as the M4 as a true design platform from them.

While that sucks and all, it's better than the V1's that go dead and don't let it's users know. It's happened before.

Minor update. I spoke with the Belscort CSR yesterday and shipped the detector to West Chester today. Thinking about going to the dark side and possibly ordering a V1...at least I'd have the 30 day trial period.

Our state police use 35.5, county police are using 24.x and the toll authority police, as well as the Delaware police (I travel to the shore quite a bit), use 34.7.

Due to your 35.5 threat, if you do upgrade I'd recomend a redline over that V1.
Was born in Ellicott City btw, nice place

X2... the V1 has always been... how do we say... sketchy when it comes to detecting 35.5Ghz Ka... If 35.5 is used heavily in your area, the V1 is not what I would want protecting me.
