Problem with STI Driver again

Acouple of years ago my rd stopped alerting to radar sources after it warmed up.
I sent it in for warranty and everything seemed ok at first and then it did it again after an hour or more of driving.
Sent it a second time and it worked properly again.
No warning when it stops working, just silance.

This weekend went up to a friends cottage 3 hours north and half way up got a k band through rolling hills and curves, no problem to solw down.

3/4 of the way there go through a small town called norland and got pulled over for 30kms over. Not one peep till I turned it back on to drive off.
Got a warning - thankfully I still have horse shoes up my arse.

Anyone else have this problem?
This is a first gen STI driver that has been sent in every winter for a check up

It's had : New antenna, new speaker, new case, abunch of firmware updates.

Time for a redline?

sound like the same **** i had with the rx65. I have a bel sti now and I dont like the k band performance. I am sticking to my old v1

Oh just wanted to add, I have only ever seen "service required" once since owning and it went away with a reset. Been sent in many times since.

Yep, I have the same problem with my STi-Driver ver A7M9. But this problem is only when I change brightness from AUTO to DIM during a ride . Then my STiDriver is blind. But after turning OFF for a 15 sek and go back ON. The problem goes off.

Try this and answer . If it's not, try to remind what do you change during a ride if any

I never change anything.
It's always on dark mode.
Quick start up
k,ka, laser on.

I had an issue with "cold" falsing, that is, when I first turned the unit on it would false x and k band for 5 minutes until it warmed up. I sent it in 4 times and finally bel sent me a "factory tested" unit and it has been excellent since then. Have you done a factory reset yet?

Reset didn't fix it for me.
