Haha who does it's beyond ridiculous...take something and double the price of what it should be and you have an ESCORT product.

On another note I would love an STi-R Plus to run with my V1.

Correct, because I like correct math. Belscort (and you) use prison math: Where the obscenely big numbers r@pe you.
You know that virtually everything you buy works this way? Many things like clothing are 100x worse.

Even the VR uses this same math. It probably costs $100 to make a V1 tops.

Thanks for the falsing comments all, glad it will still filter falses well with RDR and band seg.

I did a test of AutoScan vs Highway mode today.

The first run which was not recorded, the RD in AutoScan didnt trigger until i just hit the bridge. Which was still plenty of enough time to slow down. But the second time around , the RD King in AutoScan did much much better. Why the differance in the 2 runs on the same mode? im not sure. So anyways I doubled back and this time I had it on Highway Mode, as soon as i turned the corner at the light it went off immediately. Which impressed me. The Speed Camera Notifier was straight ahead but it was setup below the horizon level on the hwy (approx 5ft) so you cannot see. Its totally out of site as your driving until about 300 ft then it appears as you cross over the hump. It will be Highway Mode for me from now on

See that is the funny thing here... Belscort will price this thing way too high (as I note, and nine_c1 expanded upon), whereas if they put the price much lower (say $800) they would actually make more off this thing, than they are going to at the ~$1,200 price point they feel they should put it at.

So just as it was with the STi-R... it wasn't the performance that killed it, but the price. Proof? (Look how well they sold after they were 'discontinued' when the prices dropped down to ~$750!!!!)...

Again, they are morons at math over there (just as CJR continually proves with his prison math).
well considering the RX45 is priced at $799 and the old STi-R was ~$1100(or was it $1199?) I say it will sell for $1300-$1400 its not going to be cheaper then the 9500CI -shifters it will be more.

    RX45 - $799
    STi-R - $1100 or $1200 (can't remember)
    9500CI - $1599
    ZR4- $450

based on the above pricing and how companies like to make people think they are getting a discount by buying "more" the price of the new STi-R+ I believe will be somewhere in the $1300-1400 range.

now do I agree with the pricing of their products? heck no. for them to sell this it does need to be in the $700-$900 range.

    how Belscort pricing should be:
    the RX45 should be $500
    the 9500CI should be $1000 -$1200
the STi-R should have been $600-$700
and the new STi-R+ should be $700-$900

they would sell a ton more remote systems priced this way. and your right the STi-R sold like crazy when the prices dropped, that was the deciding factor for me to buy one. I liked the performance but not at full retail pricing.

well thats inline with what I figured Belscort would sell it for. still way too high in my opinion if they actually want to sell these things. for half that price you could buy a V1 and a Garmin GPS with traffic and run trapster.

V1 is not immune to the Spectre, no comparison.

if thats your only selling point of it then it is extremely over priced.

for those that want spectra proof then get a STi or redline and a GPS you would still be paying way less for the same features.

there is no reasons that Belscort or anyone could come up with that justifies the pricing of their products. they are overpriced and the remotes are even more overpriced. that is why the STi-R did not sell well until they discontinued it and they cut the price to under $800. they sold like hotcakes when the prices were between $500-$800.

I couldn't take it plus it missed a C/O trap once with seg. I had my V1 high on the windshield so it may have been causing some issues.

Now that I have the V1 in the rear I may revisit RDR off.

Not sure what version, software, etc my R is but the rampup sux compared to the V1.
