Best reaction times/QT performance for a belscort. When I tested my STi-R and V1 with CFR. The V1 was better. (But the R wasn't that far behind)

The STi-R we tested was perfect on Ka Band but did not perform as well as expected on K-Band. A different STi-R was tested afterwards performed nearly as well on K-Band as Ka. So there appears to be some variation that was probably due to different hardware/firmware versions and perhaps the individual unit itself.

However, I did note that during your test, the periods between shots was not kept to a minimum of 10 seconds. One factor that needs to be taken into account when testing the V1 is that it will park on a Frequency for 10 seconds after taking an initial alert. Therefore, to get valid results on the V1, you need to pause at least 10 seconds between shots.

OR SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT FREQ GUN BEFORE 10 SECONDS and see which detector receives the new threat quicker..

...We pick on Escort for there pricing, but what about 20+ year old products that haven't changed much? IMO the V1 is the bigest rip off of them all, $400 for 20 year old technology? It should be priced at $200 tops, but as we all know it praforms top notch so they still rip us off. Total VR greed...

The V1 is exceptional value at $400 for what it delivers. I think they've got it priced fairly. I hope MV is making a great living out of it. Bloody genius. Deserves whatever financial success he earns.

That's kind of a hang up for me to spend 4 big ones on a v1. I like to think I'm getting a great value for $400, but people swear by their v1's. It's prob worth it if it saves my ass from an unnecessary LEO encounter. Maybe they'll have a price cut.

Weeth, don't listen to CJ. He is a fool to bad-mouth a V1 in the way that he regularly does. The V1 is the best detector ever made, and the crap he seems to regularly spurt out about so-called negative aspects of the device, aside from smelling like trolling, hurts this forum's credibility and worth, and makes new readers like yourself doubtful about investing in the quality product that it is. So you go ahead and save your money and buy one. It's a great investment. Top shelf, not outdated, not antiquated, but the best. If you need stealth protection, buy a Redline instead.
