The way I see it is this: All the top detectors are good for radar. Just pick the one you like the best. Check out which one has the features you like the best and buy that one.

I live in Atlanta (downtown) so maybe that would make a huge difference? Also was wondering if AL6 has an alert from inside (like a laser detector only instead of just detecting it also jams or does it just jam without alerting it is doing so? If it does detect, how good is detection?

If you look at the GOL test results, V1 did the best on X band, K band, and 34.7 GHz Ka band. How much K band is used in your area should be a factor in your decision.

I thought V1 falses more than any of the other 2. I just dont want to constantly hear that stuff when it's not for real.

Its really a matter of saying well whats a false, I get K band readings from EVERY CVS and Walgreens on the block, why cause they are K band Door openers, to say you can filter out those is to say you filter out K band!! And like most people here who have encountered K band drones its the same thing you ARE GOING to pick them up, I would say that when people pick up these "Falses" which are infact radar, the V1 picks them up longer because or the Front and Rear detections, BUT heres what VR did to help you decide whiether its a REAL threat or fake!! lets say you gets a reading of 1 bogey K band your in the city and the signal stength is a 3 but the arrows say left right!! you are going to know what its is, the local CVS or whatever, ALSO you have to think about when you actually get your detector, after a while you KNOW where are the common Door openers are so eventually you will tune them out yourself because you know where they are and you will know how the RD reacts everytime!!
If I were you I would say the V1, The detection is better not by much but something that the GOL didnot test is reaction time to instant on, ANY V1 OWNER WILL TELL YOU the V1 picks it up the fastest!!! trust me I have seen a V1 compared to my 985!! yeah my unit is a littler older but the V1 picks up everything so much faster than any other unit!! And you have multithreat and bogey counter and Arrows!! which really if you ask me is what Really sets apart the V1, besides Laser! You know WHERE EXACTLY the source or sources are coming from Because we always are expexting it to be aheaad of us but we all have come across LEOs behind us and they have there units on constant and you cant figure out why the hell its going off cause you cant see him then you see him 2 cars back!! And as far as the looks read this thread it may change you mind about the looks, it really isnt as big and ugly as you think!!

    its not about the looks

i have had the X50, great detector but i had a craving for arrows

when i have more money and get a nice car... I am getting a V1

on the other hand.... if i had to give my wife a detector... it will be a bel or an escort- its more idiot proof, easier to use

Well there are a few problems. But this is for your to decide

If you want somthing that will go off for mainly cops, the rx65 or the x50 is perfect. RX65 beats all other detectors at detecting 2 of the 3 frequencies of KA, which seems to be the growing trend.

However, you are in atlanta, and I do believe thats where atlanta stealth is used. Both the rx65 nor the x50 detect atlanta stealth where the v1 does; however, if you are buying a jammer, laser detection should not be an issue.
