RX65 disappointment ?

Hi, noobie here just to let u know
RX65 M4 2.9 bought directly from factory few days ago
going on 90 from crystal lake to arlington heights (IL, Chicago sub)
the interstate is straight no hills no major curves,
maybe i expect too much out of that thing... but someone was pulled over the cop didnt seem to turn of his radar, my RD detectedd a K band 1 bar at .3 miles away as i passed him in few secs it went up to 3 and then silent..... the other day i maybe got a .1 mile alert and of course both times i saw them sooner,
for the money i spend on that thing i expected something better please correct me if i'm wrong.....

Should have got the X50 its sad to see this happen to ppl lol j/k naa i get weak Radar singals to dont worry about it just keep ur senses up and take some of my hints that i have in general about 6th sense and u will do fine even my V1 gets weak singals like this dont worry about u will see what it can and cant do give it some time-Iknox

Well you must have a DUD, because mine has always worked well,seems as though some people have good ones and some bad ones.A bit disappointing really, But mine's been good, and I also own a V1 and found the RX65 to perform well. if not better.

Wonder what could i do to check that, i know one of the stores in my area sends a either a Ka or K band, like 100 yrds away i get a 1 and really close it gets up to 9 but i think its just that short because they use low voltage or something.....

Did he have a dash or window mounted radar. If he had a handheld and it was sitting on the seat of the patrol car, that would explain the short warning. If you never get any longer warnings, then I would say something is wrong with it. Keep an eye on it and see how it behaves before the end of the 30 day return period.

Well if the officer radar is not pointing at you (in your direction) then you will get a weak alert, also if the officer is parked behind another car, again you will get a weak alert.

If this performance persists, then send it back to be checked out, or if you want exchange/refund what ever you want. RX65 should be better.

i dont think there is anything wrong with his RD guy i just got it let him get use to it to see what it can and cannot do. so before we talk about returning stuff

That's what I experienced with my 65, they say it was because I got it on Ebay. What do you guys think now?
