Ever consider doing a "clean room" reverse engineer of the Escort Shift+Link so the blinder can be hooked up directly to the 8500/X50/SR7 to provide laser warnings on the detector?

I think that this could be done fairly easily...
I did some probing to see if I could write some PC monitor software for the Belscorts, just like I did for the Valentine. It turned out that the output isn't too complex: just pulses that go high to make the LED in the smart cord light up. So if that is any indication, the input from the ZR3 probably isn't anything too special either...
