Well, haven't had a chance yet to get with a certain local member to test the M27 with his laser gun, but I had a pretty good test today.
There's a particular intersection where they used to have a red light camera but recently took it down when the legislature mandated a minimum yellow light time. Well, the interesting thing about this intersection is the laser gun is still mounted and firing when cars approach.
Every time I've driven by it in the past when there are no other cars around my laser detector fires off as I'm approaching the light for maybe a second or second and a half, then it gets a speed, stops firing and another couple of seconds later it fires around. Yesterday and today I drove through that intersection with the Blinders on and the result was utterly different. As I approached the intersection with the light red (both times I was in the only vehicle approaching) the Blinder started alerting about 1 second before my Bel GX65 did. And here's the difference from all my other encounters... the Bel continued to alert for about 4 seconds instead of the normal two seconds (Blinder going off the entire time), then both stopped alerting.
So that implies that the Blinder was preventing a speed lock for about 3 seconds (and I was fairly close) before there was a lock on my speed. Naturally this is only the case if nothing has changed in the last week with the gun at this intersection (I doubt it, they took down the camera long before that). I'm hoping to get a chance for the light to turn red while have some more distance to see how well the Blinder performs. I'm pleased with the results so far and can't wait to get another 2 transponders to increase my odds.
FYI, its a black F150 and no Veil (I have Veil but have not applied it yet).

I've started carrying a video camera in my vehicle at all times so it'll be easy.
