    Thanks. Here's some pictures, I hope they're not too big. I'm still having fun with the stock twin turbos, so it's no crazy 1000hp Supra by all means. Best time so far is 11.8 @ 120 mph, on street tires, pump gas, full weight with sound system. Hopefully next spring I can try out the 75 shot nitrous to add mph, and put some slicks on for a better 60' time. It has only dyno'd at 420rwhp and 415rwtq all turbo; just a baby Supra :wink: .

    "Baby Supra" - I like that. It's weird how distorted our perspectives can get on things like this, that your Supra "only" has 400+ horses to the wheels.

    Certainly, there are far less DSMs or Subarus making as much raw power as Supras, but coming from that background, I understand very well what you're saying.

    ^ Honestly, if you know for a fact you are unlikely to see true POP enforcement locally, I would actually recommend that you turn POP off.

    The problem with enabling POP, and the falsing that comes hand-in-hand with it on the x50, is that to a certain degree, you're going to become somewhat "less confident" with the abilities of the detector, the more falsing that it provides.

    This may not seem intuitive, and you may say to yourself that you'll always treat the POP alerts as true alerts, but I've found that, over time, I have become desensitized to this, and it's truly because it falses so much.

    I confess to having POP enabled on my x50, but for the time being, it is simply because I truly do not know if my local enforcers are *really* using POP or not. As soon as I can find out for-sure, and should the case be that they are not using POP, then you can bet that I'll turn it off immediately.

    I hope this gives you another perspective.

    Thanks for the compliments, good to see another car enthusaist on the boards. I am leaving my POP on for the exact same reason you have left yours on. I'm not sure if they use POP here in CT, and I get a POP alert (false or not) so seldom that it is far from annoying. I can go through weeks without ever having one. I do admit that it scares the crap out of me when it has gone off the 3-4 times.

    I assume Tsi as in Eagle Talon? I love those cars, my best friend used to worship DSMs; he had a Tsi front wheel drive. They are a blast to drive, especially launching. Back in high school I had four friends that had GSX, GST, Tsi awd, and Tsi fwd, respectively. I've never seen four guys bond so fast. You gotta love turbo and AWD cars, best of both worlds.

    ^ Ayup, I had that "handle" from my first interactions on the various Subaru Forums after my wife purchased her WRX (I was soon pushed into, but honestly not too reluctantly at that, LOL! , a Legacy 2.5GT), and decided to keep it for old times' sake.

    I'm a confessed DSM lover - I've had a DSM since I started to drive, back in '92. My parents spoiled me and bought me a new Eclipse GS, 2.0L DOHC (my father actually wanted to get me the GS-T, but the insurance rates were prohibitive for someone who was barely 17), and I've had a series of them in my garage over the years. The TSi was my last DSM (still in the garage, though), and was, as with your Supra, very "mildly" upgraded when framed within the reference of its own community. For us DSMs, as you may know, that would be somewhere around 300 to 350 wHP, which, for a daily-driver, is typically considered "the magical number" for DSMs, allowing retention of excellent durability/reliability while giving it enough juice to at least be somewhat fun, and without the need to spend big-bucks to truly upgrade/reinforce driveline components.

    [ Is there such a "magical number" for you Supra guys, too? I'm under the impression that your blocks are extremely stout, and a very, very high HP number can be reached before you guys need to do anything in that respect - but what about "daily-driver" reliability/durability? Is there a "magic number" for that? ]

    I actually tried to talk my wife into letting me get an EVO, but she took one look at it, and said "no." :roll: I guess from my DSMs, she picked up on the fact that a FMIC, from the factory, can't possibly mean anything good in terms of civility.

    The Legacy ended up being a compromise, I got to have a stick-shift (which she unfortunately cannot drive), and she got me into a "family sedan."

    But sorry, I digress.....

    You're very gracious, saying such good things about my beloved Diamond-Stars. But let's get real.... ...the bond is strong with us DSMers simply because things break on our cars all the time, and we're forced to help each other fix these things over and over again. :wink:

    Wow, nice ride. With 11.8 @ 120 and 400+ rwhp is nothing to be ashamed about either, what a fine example You can't beat black too :wink:
