I was going to buy a new-in-box 9930 on ebay for $90-100 but have decided not to since I keep seeing horrific reviews. What's a better-performing new but probably used alternative typically up to $125? Thanks.

The Whistler Pro-58 from Roy http://www.radarbusters.com/products...ler/pro-58.asp
Cool. I threw my 9110 - I think that's the model number - out the window a couple months ago.
What's better up to around $125?
(The best for around 125).... well IMO thats the V895 for $150 from RS (Just 25bucks more)... that is if they even have them anymore.
If not I have to agree the Whistler (Pro) 58 is great for your price range.
The V895 does not detect Ku, and I'm not sure about the 58. What's another option?Originally Posted by AirMoore
Where do you live? If you live in the USA then you do not need Ku. Ku is not used in the US or Canada. Only in Europe right now.
I thought Ku came over in 2006.Originally Posted by cooljay
Nope. The only approved current speed radar bands are X, K and Ka. Laser is also used. Don't let those "12 band" cobras fool you.
Actually Ku is approved (Not 100% sure) but they are just too big and is like worst than X band.
I see. I'll check to see if Texas law agencies use Ku.
Also, from this review, it seems like the Pro 73 is a little bit better than the 58 and for only a little bit more. What do you guys think?
