    Default Just bought 9500i

I bought a 9500i a few weeks ago despite some of the reviews on this site. I have to say that it's been a great investment so far. I don't know if there were a few glitches at first, but I've been very happy with mine. Saved me a ticket or two already. And I drive past a couple places every day that get detected (drug store and airport) - and now I don't have to be on edge every time I pass them with the TrueLock stuff.

Unless there is an LEO in the same area that you have locked out. It seems that the Truelock feature locks out everything in the area from what Ive seen, unless they have fixed this glitch?

Locks out whatever frequency is found, +/- 30MHz. I wonder if it's picking up TWO signals or more, does it lock out ALL of them or just one?

I'm no expert but it seems to be working just fine. I locked out whatever band I ran into every day right by the airport, and I got another alert in the same area. It was a cop so I was fortunate. Actually not really, I wasn't driving fast at the time, but it's still nice to know it works.

Escort actually posted something on their website about this. http://www.escortradar.com/9500i-tech-talk.htm

I've had mine for about a month as well, and I agree with what you said. The 9500i has been an excellent investment for me so far -- definitely worth the money. TrueLock is working like a charm, no false positives on my daily routes, great range for true positives, and has saved my ass at least 3 times already.

Glad I decided to go ahead with this purchase !!

I completely agree! the 9500I is an awesome unit that only requires the user to be smart about how they use it.

From what I have found it blocks out 1 but the other falsies in the same area seem to be within the 30mhz range. Supposedly if there are 2 it will block them both. Hopefully they all fall within the 30mhz block like mine do.
