9500i goin crazy...

just bought my 9500i and since day one, once it turns on it goes nuts picking up k, ka, x bands....and it wont stop for about 10 minutes...then it starts to act fine...i thought this thing was suppose to get rid of false alarms...any ideas?....have it in auto mode, tried to change to highway and city modes and still does it...also while its going crazy i cant mark anything

yes but since you spent that much money I would to be safe. Actually I would look at a few other things 1st - is it hardwired? Have you double checked all connections? Have you tried a reset on the detector? Could your cig lighter be old causing a bad connection? Does it come on with the ignition? I had a detector once that would do that every now and again but if you turned the car on THEN the detector it wouldnt do it...

I am 95% sure that I know exactly what the problem is. Did you buy your 9500i from an authorized Escort dealer so that you have a full warranty? If not, send me a PM.

Try using the smart cord. Might be some connection problems.
