I remember well that thread. The V1 that Dilip and nvr2fast used in that video was 3.826.V1 in EUR-mode from rev.3.821 to 3.851 is only scanning from 34.2 to 34.4GHz,but after July 2006 (rev.3.851) VR expanded Freq. coverage for out-of-tune Multanova 6F,so V1 in EUR-mode from rev.3.851 and up ,is scanning from 34.16 to 34.44GHz.Here is a thread that I posted about Freq. Coverage in EURO-mode: http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...rs-answer.html

    I believe the guy that does all of those tests doesn't have a Pro 78 Rev C. I think it's a B.

The 9500ci (also) doesn't have Ka-band selection like the STi-R does, and the range on Multanova is 100-200m at best.

The best range I have seen is from the STi-R mounted vertically, followed by the V1

X2!RD without Ka-narrow34.3GHz option is useless against Multanova 6F.
ONLY if M6F's antenna is pointed at your direction and M6F's power set to max(Range III-40meters) it's possible to get a 1000ft.(300m) detection with a Ka-superwide RD.
    I get 60-120metres(90-360ft.) on Multanova 6F with RX-65.

So do you think there is problem with the 9500i device it self or only software upgrade needed ?

It actually scans a bit more than just that (since detects my Bee at 33.8)

    I've read:

    33.80GHz ± 100 MHz [33.70GHz to 33.9GHz]
    34.00GHz ± 40 MHz [33.96GHz to 34.04GHz]
    34.30GHz ± 140 MHz [34.16GHz to 34.44GHz]
    34.60GHz ± 40 MHz [34.56GHz to 34.64GHz]

Yeah,I know, but UAE wants to know about Multanova 6 detection. That's why I didn't bother to post other frequencies that are also covered in EUR-mode.

There's no problem with 9500i.It's just that Escort RDs are designed for North American market ONLY and because of that they do not work well against European Radars.None of the Escort's has Ka-narrow34.3GHz option, they have only Ka-superwide34.7 +/-1300MHz option. There is also no software available to add this option.

So you mean in even in the future they cant make a software to narrow ka to 34.3 ?

Like I said before,Escort RDs are designed for North American market, they don't care if 9500i works well or not against non-USA radars.Escort RDs will NEVER have Ka-narrowband option.

OK i have checked few radars , hmmmm

    3 are near our house

one is 34.265 and one is 34.265 and one is 34.271

I made alot of tests lol

I found new postion for it and i do believe ... right side windowshield , oppsite

to passenger seat top corner , does this mean anything

its very weird now the first 34.267 the radar detect it 500 meters
the second one 34.265 which is exactly same frequency it detect it 800 meters , maybe becouse the radar box was a bit in different location , located higher on street than first one

the third one was 34.271 located almost on straight street , and it detect it 200 meters only , and in day light 120 meters

now almost all of them near in frequency why this big difference
