Default 9500ix boot and stopped warning

Anyone else hate the fact that the ix gives only two beeps when you are below 15 MPH for any band including KA? Also they have ommitted the boot ramp test, the ix only does the quick boot.

Mine should be here Monday but I'm looking forward to the "short beeps".

It took me a while to get used to it, but I don't have a problem with it. It's all part of Escort trying to quiet their RDs until necessary. As long as you're not using spec mode, you still know the signal strength via the display. Also, as soon as you take off, you get the normal alert.

This, I like, mostly because my woman hated the long startup sequence of my SRX and complained incessantly about it until I switched it to the shorter version.

X2, i like the quick on without all the noise, but as we all know i like a quiet RD.

I miss not having the long boot-up sequence on my 9500ci. The long boot-up sequence was part of my "pre-flight" every time I got in my car. Maybe Escort could add it back as a user programmable setting since it always impressed most of my friends too.

I feel the same. It was like, turn on the engine, listen to the detector power on, wait for XM radio to kick in and GPS to acquire an uplink. Now it doesn't have the same "orchestrated" feel anymore!
