    That's the way I was taught years ago. Now I just like using the add-a-circuit fuses. Those T taps can give you loose connections, cause voltage drops, etc. But if it works for you go for it.

    add-a-fuse is fine if you are tapping power but sometimes you have to tap into a signal wire coming from a sensor or the PCM, so doing the way I said is the only way to get a reliable connection and not worry about messing with the signal.
