    Default NOOBIE on K band & 9500ci

    Hi all.

I have an area where there is always a false on K band at 24.198 (sometimes 24.200). In that same area, there is sometimes a LEO running K band at 24.142. I have autolearn off. If I lock out the area on 24.198 will it also lock out 24.142? I ask this because I'm just not clear on how many significant digits are locked out in the same GPS geography. Can the LEO run different K band frequencies? Sorry, no nothing about radar & have been very happy with the information (albeit very little) that I've gained from this site so far. Looking forward to the experts to weigh in.

It's not suppose to lock out the LEO,but there hae been stories on here where it has. To be safe I would not, or do as I have done and run a V1in little "L" mode with X band and POP off just in case it does lock out a LEO.

I think the lockout frequency looks at 5MHz increments, so you should be fine.

Its actually closer to 10MHz, but nevertheless the frequencies in the example above will be fine.

But, if that LEO sits in that same exact spot a lot, with autolock enabled, the 9500ci could automatically lockout that LEO also. This has happened to my brother and also a few forum members.

Thanks to you both. So the frequency lockout is that sensitive...good.

yup. i hear that. i've been careful when i previously had autolearn on, and had to unlock an area for that reason.
