i can't risk any tickets.

I have been thinking.....the next Escort video for the 9500ix....the perfect spokesman.....the "Sham Wow" guy![]()
I agree. I've never heard a LEO refer to radar as C/O or I/O, like we do. We still have not seen a copy of the ticket. Also, the 9500ix should have alerted the second blackbeltrk turned off his GPS. He shouldn't have had to power cycle his 9500ix, unless the reason it wasn't alerting was smartmute and not TrueLock. The other thing I find wierd is that blackbeltrk's second post ever is about TrueLock getting him a ticket. That just seems odd.

Truelock can't be fixed it can be improved but never be perfect, the reason i don't trust trulock is because I have seen a cop running 24.169 the same frequency a door opener along the highway is so even with expert meter it's still the same frequency to the hundreth. I still like running my 9500ix it's very quiet and sensitive with autosensitivity and all the cops run top of the line stalker ad mph ka bands so I don't worry about trulock in my city and allways prooceed with caution on other cities that do use k band.
I agree 100%.
Although I think that Escort can improve the "resolution" of the detector to allow for even tighter "segmentation," as well as make additional improvements such as a "strength-of-signal" over-ride or give additional discrimination of the number of signals present, I think that, in the end, it's still going to be a level of risk, as with *ANY* form of filtering.
It'll never be perfect.
But for city-folk like me, who require at least *some* protection, and furthermore tremendously appreciate the peace-and-quiet that this detector can bring, in terms of the everyday commute, the 9500-series does have a place, and I think that as long as Escort strives to really and earnestly IMPROVE the product, it'll still have its share of the detector/countermeasures market.
My lock-outs are all along my commute routes - all in what would be "High Risk" areas, by CJR's classification. Yes, I've seen genuine enforcement signals locked-out, via a TrueLock in that location from previous. I've never been ticketed - because, in using my 9500i in such a "High Risk" area, I simply understand the risks associated, and change my driving habits accordingly.
The few times when I've *really* had to speed along the routes? I simply reached up and turned off the GPS, and also flicked the setting over to "Highway."
My 9500i, so far, as not surprised me one bit in its performance - good or bad. I see it simply as the next evolution of the 8500x50.

I'm a V1 fanatic and I'll be he first one to say that this statement is unfair. The correct statement would be:
Filtering: Me > Circuitry
The 9500ix is still a very sensitive detector that offers a cam database. Just because Truelock is being called into question does NOT mean that it is now worthless or untrustworthy.

picture of my ticket. I will also be making a video soon of this story and my ticket on youtube. I will post here as well .
