No, the GPS satellites use a different set of frequencies that are not affected by rain. You will get some signal interference from tall buildings and when inside parking garages.

I've never had any conectivity issues related to weather.
Clouds and rain can affect GPS as well as any frequency. The GPS operates on a frequency range of 1215 to 1260 mhz. GPS using a receivng scheme know as spread spectrum. Many cordless phones use this technology to reduce the chances of evesdropping.
GPS chip sets have very high sensitivites in the range of 150 to 160 dbm, along with the spread spectrum technology makes them overcome almost all signal attenutations.

weather doesn't always affect my 9500I's and ix's, and more likely its my positioning in comparison to the satellites.
