Its certainly much clearer and obvious, but it is doing some of the thinking for you. I prefer it.

I don’t need to know about the 3 ghosts, 2 falses and the one LEO running K but miss the other LEO shooting KA because the K was the strongest signal. I prefer to know about only the LEO’s.

Nether is perfect, but they have there purpose and work well for what they are doing.

Ka band is always prioritized over K band.

The V1 will display up to 10 bogies but will track more which I agree is not very helpful and a pain in the arse at times.
On the other hand a Ka threat is always treated by the V1 as priority, will bogie lock alert tone to alert you to it, flash Ka in the bands meter to alert you to it, and change to audio alert to Ka as it is the priority frequency. If you miss the situational awarness of all the above, you deserve a ticket.

If you've got 10 radar contacts you need to either stop speeding in the parking lot or stop speeding in front of the police station

With Expert meter I can tell at a glance which bands have how many signals. .
I totlly disagree with you. The way the V1 works is, it flashes if K or Ka is the strongest band and you have both visual indicators to alert you with X,K and Ka bands. It also overrides a weak signal with the audio tones unlike the escort, Ka always overrides a K band alert.

The problem with expert mode is, it will not show 2 bogeys with police K band and falls frequency if it is in the 24.150 which is mostly what is used. Same problem with truelock. The truelock and expert mode work side by side - they work with the same technology. So if you have say 2 stalker radar guns being operated, escort will only show 1 bogey and the V1 will show 2 bogeys. That's the difference with V1's bogey counter and escort's expert mode.

I only use spec mode for the same reasons as others have posted.

Your Belscort isn't even anywhere near as accurate as the V1 in identifying bogeys, not even close I 100% guarentee it. Most of the time the Belscort is lucky to identify two seperate sources let alone the 5 you use as an example.

I don't know where you live but X band isn't a threat in most areas. You could ratchet up the perceived threat and throw a Ku band threat in there as well if you would like but the V1 will still prevail in prioritizing the threats and keeping you aware of what is going on.

K and Ka would be displayed on the V1 with it alearting in audio to the Ka threat as well as tracking the Ka threat direction with its arrows (as best it can and in most situations fairly accurately) while also tracking the K band bogey through the bogey alert and flashing a K threat as well. If the K threat becomes closer (threat priority again) it will switch back to K audio and the arrows and strength meter to reflect the closer K band signal while still flashing the Ka threat if it still exists.

I'm not sure your situational awarness arguement of Belscorts vs. V1 is a valid one.

My Belscorts I have and had also had the nasty habit of alerting to a threat that had already passed and the signal I'm 100% sure was no longer able to be detected by the Belscort for several seconds continuing to confuse a situation with multiple threats.

Either way, I'm not going to put my foot back in it until the K and Ka threats are gone or I am 100% sure that they are no longer an issue, so Belscort or V1 I'd basically react the same way either way.

    Bwhaahaaaa.
True, but I rarely speed in metro area's anyway. Too many reasons not to speed and stay at PSL in the city that I usually put my radar detector in its case anyway.

Cheapest belscort w/expert meter is the 8500. The 965 is just a 955 that was packaged with a carrying case. The cheapest bel with threat mode would be the RX65.

Today, I was approaching a Wal-greens and got strong dual K alerts that probably would have over powered the weak Ka that was coming from an approaching LEO.
Ka ALWAYS takes priority over K regardless of the meter setting.
