    No, it's still adjustable, but just to a lesser degree than is the older mount.

    OK, thanks. I assume adjustment is accomplished by sliding the bracket in/out of the detector's slot??

    Exactly. The less sloped the windshield, the closer to the windshield the RD should be placed on the mount.

    I agree...I already checked to see if I could use my Whistler XTR-690SE mount with my Escort 8500....NO!

    I better hold on to all my old metal mounts then in case this one breaks.


    Unless the new ones hold so well I don't have to resort to such trickery just to keep the RD from becoming a projectile?
