I just ordered a escort live cord for my sti. any thoughts on how the network is and how much for the yearly fee?

Before, hopefully soon, Escort Rep is gonna jump in with his/her own professional advice, here is my own take on this particular subject.

First of all, cause YouTube is... "my lady" LOL here is an interesting video to watch and analyze:



So, in order to fully get advantage of the Escort Live cord AND subscription (starting at $20/month) you MUST have the following: lots of drivers IN YOUR AREA using a) RDs compatible with Escort Live (not all RDs are compatible with Escort Live), then they must have a b) smartphone in their car that carries the Escort Live App (not everybody has a smartphone, I don't cause I don't need one not cause I cannot afford it), as long as no or very few drivers IN YOUR AREA with a) + b), Escort Live is USELESS, for speed trap alerts of course.

You should ask yourself the following Qs: how many drivers in Phoenix Area use RDs compatible with Escort Live AND always have a smartphone in their car with the Escort Live App already installed on their smartphone. Do you know how many? Cause I guess you don't care of a laser alert on your Escort Live smartphone coming from... Bangor, Maine, right? LOL

This very interesting technology, its effectiveness of course, is pretty much based on the number of ppl (drivers) with the proper hardware in their cars, if it's just you in the entire Phoenix Area with all the proper hardware, you must be start talking to yourself all day long. LOL

Do your research BEFORE investing in a technology that might not be useful in YOUR particular area. For now of course.

There are quite few Escort Live users in the Phx area. I've received numerous alerts on 101, 202, I-17

Driving in the city, not that many, but have gotten them

I was pleased to see quite a few valid shared alerts on my drive up north and back this Thanksgiving. Now that Escorts newest models have BT built in with a years sub of escort live premium, I think the EL community will grow at a much faster rate.

I'd hold off on any new Escort Live purchases/updates. I received a new Escort Live universal smart cord today along with my new warranty replacement STi Magnum and it bricked a 4609 build Redline and and the new 0715 build STi Magnum. Not slamming the product but there may be a glitch somewhere or could just be a bad cord. Redline goes back to Escort for free warranty fix and my retailer has already shipped another new STi Magnum to me and refunded me for the Live cord... I decided that I'm not trusting the Escort Live cord for now and shipped it back to my retailer along with my bricked STi Magnum.

EL uses other cop spotted reports from outher apps, your not only relying on EL users.
