    Default Another mounting X50

1st time poster here. Nice forum.

I have a '05 Ford F250. I wanted to mount it above the mirror but there is some kind of textured material on the glass. Yesterday I had a 5" strip of tint placed across the top of the windshield. Today I placed the Escort where I wanted it and it stuck. A few hours later it fell. It had pulled the tint loose. Did I just not wait long enough for the tint to "set"?

I also considered placing it inside my overhead console but thought it might interfere with performance.

Are Escorts still a hot item for thieves? Should I just forget about keeping it hidden?

your high enough in that truck that mounting it beneath the mirror is good enough.. Remember you just need a level and clear line of site for front and rear with this model.

In my svt I set it just below my mirror... As for thiefs you better take it with you instead of risking someone smashing your window.. I never leave anything in my car that would be temptation for a crook..

It might overheat if you put it inside the overhead console. Although it would be "stealth" you might get an early "service required".
