V1 Modes?

Hi guys I just had my V1 installed yesterday and was wondering which mode is best for highway driving? I have it in A mode and it picks up all kinds of jargon in the same area when I go to my gym but down the road I was driving and I saw a cop car stopped in a corner and it didn't pick up anything?

On highway in developed areas and in cities, I use little L. I have x-band off, and k auto muted for 15 sec. For rural Highway I use A. The cop you seen did not have any radar on. Remember its a radar-locator, not a cop detector.

I haven't found any of the modes to make any real difference. They all seem to have the same sensitivity and false rate to me. Big L supposedly turns X off, according to the manual, but that's a lie. Otherwise, there is no difference.

I didn't think the modes change the sensitivity. It just changes the so called "filtering" and auto mute on k-band

They don't. Just wanted to make sure the OP understood that, since he seems to think it will. But the modes only affect X-band, and nothing else.

There is more info in the V1 section explaining advanced programming options for the V1. I don't recommend them unless you are a pretty serious enthusiast though, who understands exactly what he's doing.
