Is Speed Zones doing a test this year (2009)?
I know it's usually a somewhat eccentric attempt at testing Radar/Laser devices, however something new might emerge from there.
Can the link to their site be posted?

Misunderstanding.
Is the Speed Zones site-link permitted to be posted on this forum?
The current pages mention an "Annual" 2008-2009 test.
Seems like the information relates to a test from last (2008) July.
Anyone know if they did a test this year (July 2009).
Quote: This year’s test June 27-29, July 11-12, July 25, looked at new technologies offered by detector makers to meet the new challenges from law enforcement.
We are not yet to July 25 2009, so ----?
As I said, any new Speed Zones test this year?
Ah, okay, lol.
Sure. Although, I can't imagine why anyone would care. His results never seem to come close to what anyone else gets in testing, so something is wrong over there. But he does his thing every summer, so it shouldn't be far off.

The testing is done. The results have not been released yet. Although, I have no idea why anyone would care. Their results are always useless. Congratulations! Everything from a 9500ci to a Cobra kicks ass!
Perhaps the Speed Zones folk don't wish to offend anyone?
Testing format sure is skewed towards "everyone's a winner".
Presentation is awful. Their webmaster has never heard of "tables" in a web page. What about bar-graphs for range comparisons? If they could get the presentation of results right this time, perhaps it would inspire them to do better tests next year. I get the feeling they cannot "see"just how poor their methodology is.
The RD manufacturer's seem to pay some attention to this forum and act accordingly, why not Speed Zones? You'd think the GOL tests would have lit a fire under them. Apparently not.

Good observations. As much as he holds himself out to be a scientific professional, nothing about the presentation seems at all scientific or professional. More like random streams of consciousness that don't really lead to a conclusion. I just can't figure out if, in his mind it actually made sense when he wrote it, or if he is intentionally being vague.
Also, Speed Zones ran 35.5Ka testing and I believe also ran 33.8Ka testing last year, but only released the 34.7Ka results. The results of the other Ka bands would have shown some serious separation between units, but we never got to see them. That shows you that Speed Zones is clearly in Cobra's pockets.
Understatement of the century, the Cobra guys were in the car with out of tune V1 that SML useds. And for the filtering test they couldn't even figure out how to turn off x-band even after being told multiple times
SML/SpeedZones is a joke! The only thing they got going for them is they didn't try to sabotage independent testers
