    Smile New Comer,

    Hello everyone,
Found this by accident looking for a new radar detector. My old one lost it's voice. Was almost nailed a couple of weeks ago. I figured I,ve been looking reading on here for some time now so I thought I better register. Have found alot of good posts on here, very impressed. Still haven't found a RD yet. Want to stay around the $500. range.
    Thanks

V1. Do you drive into Indianapolis much? If so, I'd also throw in the 9500ix as a possibility as well. I own both and love both. Laser is used in the Indianapolis area too. For that you will need a laser jammer which will also cost you at least $430 for a decent one.

Welcome and good luck with whichever one you choose. Try the 30 trial on a couple of the top ones and decided for yourself.

Welcome aboard. If I can draw from your username you have a Dodge Charger there is a nice mount in the grill for jammers. As far out as possible.

Yes I do. I drive 465,65,69 everyday going to and from work. I've been looking at the 9500ix and the v1. Thanks for the heads up on the laser use in indy. Gives me something else to look at. Appreciate your help. Thanks

I own both the 9500ix and the V1 and both are fantastic, but dramatically different. If you can swing it, I suggest that you buy both and return the one you like the least, since both have a 30 day return policy. I live in a huge city and of these two, I personally prefer the 9500ix, but most here would probably go the other direction on that.

And beware of posts like this one. This person has probably never used a 9500ix.
