    Welcome - I'm a newbie too. I feel bad for you guys in VA and DC - having to hide a passive detector so you don't get tickets. Not quite fair.

    thanks. I agree but the fine for being caught with one is a joke, especially compared to the cost of a ticket

    Hey thankx Bernie...

    I guess it is not too bad..

    Your best bet is the sti or redline...
    both good stealth detectors..
    Do they also confiscate your detector if caught?

    no, by law they can only temporaryily hold it however most of the time they will just take down the serial number
