Is it just me or is LI more expensive now?

Choices are GREAT guys. Shop around and you can find Blinder M45 for about $550-$600. Add Veil and it brings you up to $650-700. Compare an M45 to an LI Dual because more than likely most will put all of their M45 heads up front. Lets face to though when it comes to performance LI is jaw dropping and on a league of its own. I wish we could have compared it to an M45. My ONLY concern with LI would be long term reliability but Cliff has demonstrated that he is in this for the long run. As far as Blinder goes I still have an M40 on my father's SUV and it is still going strong 3 years later. Pair that up with Veil and he has solid protection. Oh and my brother still has an M10 Blinder going on 5 years. Back to LI it costs a pretty penny because its performance is unlike anything we have ever seen. Choices are great!

Yes, I think that the price has marched upward a bit, but have you priced a Blinder M45 - adding a can of VEIL - or dual-head LPP, lately?

Blinder M45 ($679.00) + VEIL (79.99* special current price) = $759

Dual head LPP is $899

LI is still a bargin price in my opinion for the performance it offers

Blinder M45 performance (all heads up front) w/VEIL = performance of LI dual (both heads up front)

LPP dual performance < LI dual performance

LI is still a bargin considering the performance you get!!!!

The LI has the best performance period. I don't think its fair to say that a m45 + Veil would be any better until results from credible sources are posted. Personally I don't think a $50 bump is that much more for such a superior unit. You have to pay to play.To each his own if you are looking for a budget system the LI is not it. But before you buy a system saying " it will probably give me enough time to slow down" remember all it takes is one PT to get a ticket and that one ticket will cost much more than the difference from a budget setup to an LI. Especially when you factor in ticket + court costs+ raise in premiums for next 3 years. The LI begins to look like a bargain.

Actually it has nothing to do with the GOL 08 results or JTG but more to do with fairness to existing LI users ($650 + $50) wishing to upgrade to a TruSpeed CPU paying the same price as new LI Users who will be receiving TruSpeed enabled LIs ($700).

If I didn't.. then I call bs in raising prices out of "fairness". The only people who benefit out of this 'fairness" is you and LI... not the consumers, the people upgrading pay the same price regardless.. if you charge other people more. So again, no one benefits out of this "fairness" except the seller.

I'm not saying you shouldn't raise prices, I just think the reason you gave is b.s. - but I probably misunderstood you making me seem very foolish right about now.

The prices were also raised when the torch was passed from Elvis to Cliff a few months ago. At least Cliff won't rip you off, though.

The bottom line is the LI is a performer, or should I say THE performer, but as Happy said, choices are a good thing to have... and a M45, G4, and two LS for that price is more then likely just as solid of a performer... but it gives you another choice.


In any-case I am loving the advancements in jamming tech giving us the performance that was seen at GOL. Especially by LI (and LPP), but also by Blinder who proved the stalker could be 'beat' with an LED jammer (well still doing great on ALL American-used guns in a worst case scenario)!

Yep. And it is definitely do-able if you just shop around a little. One thing that Blinder has going for it is a larger network of distributors, resulting in the ability to shop around and get serious discounts.

Absolutely! This competition is great for all of us! But the best thing about it is, Blinder and LI aren't really competing with each other so much as they are competing with law enforcement. Their innovations are driven by innovations in lidar. Consequently, we don't see an adversarial, cut-throat relationship between the two products, and both Leon and Cliff can contribute to the forum without any smack talk. I love that!

That is not true Elvis wanted like $675 shipped I believe.

As for the Blinder a few people touched upon, it is readily available so you have options that includes finding the best price, the orig poster, had "Retail Prices" listed. Plus as stated the long term reliablity seems to be very good, esp I never heard of any real issues with sealants and weatherproofing.

At this point no one knows how many police departments will decide to cut costs and get the TruSpeed, but I think it will be substantial.

It is expected that the updated LI will JTG it (pending some independent tests), but why spend an amount so close to the LI's for other systems which are not upgradeable?
