How do I interface the V1 with the LI?

Now, I saw the Interfacing Diagram, but it is a little bit confusing? Do I have to use the Cigarette plug only? I have not received the LI yet, but I will have one soon, within the week and I just want to be ready to install it the way I want it. If anyone has any pictures of them doing this, it will be much help. Sorry for not being able to understand the diagram...im challenged in that area. lol. Thanks in advance!

I am not sure actually....but it shows that option! If it just is a power supply then I dont think i would need it...

i think what its saying is that you need an RJ11 splitter and the wire that comes from the cig to the v1 should be connected to the splitter and be shared by the V1 and the LI. I have my V1 hardwired to the fuse box. When i increase the load (add the LJ with he splitter) do i need increase the fuse size or can i leave it to what it is currently set too.
