big differences in older LI versions?

Hello-
What is the main difference between these LI models- 6.22T DUAL, 7.11 DUAL, and the new version 8.7?
I know there are a few gun differences(I don't run into these guns in my area, so i don't care too much), but is there a performance difference? I ask because these older models are significantly cheaper. Seriously considering the 6.22 at this point.
Mostly looking for protection against the California guns- LTI guns, PLIII, maybe Stalker.

If your buying it from the same place i bought mine, than its only the CPU. I think they all have 8.7 model heads but differ only in CPU. Theres nothing wrong with the cheap one, but the Gen-8 allows for update as needed through the serial port and more friendly software to update. I own the 7 and 8 series.

Ok yeah thanks, they have 8.7 heads but it has a 6.22T CPU.
Is there a large performance difference in this CPU/7.11 over the 8.7?
You notice any differences between the 7 and 8 series?

They both JTG. is that enough?
