Default Anyone tested the new li gen 8 high power model ??

HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO THE STANDARD MODEL?

ALSO I CANT FIND ANY DIMENSIONS FOR THE GEN 8 HEADS? HELP?

ALSO IN AREAS WHERE THERE ARE A LOT OF BUG STRIKES -- my concern is when they hit the transmitter that small hole. . .
can the heads be covered with thin sticky tape or 3m stoneguard and still be effective at jamming???

Just look at the heads before you drive and after to check for dirt.

For the size please search or use google (it's the first result...)

As for the HP, let me put it this way:

    - LI reg: small PT in a certain part of the car
    - LI hp: no PT at all

Just clean the heads of bug remains, no worries about them getting through. If the Gen 8 HP's are any better than the Gen 7's (don't know how they could be) you have nothing to worry about. Nothing will get PT on a HP!

I'm sure the others will post their results up here soon enough and I think JEM has the list of all the people and cars and will post them later. For me:

I live in a buggy area too and a simple solution is to check every now and then, but I personally never had any performance issues. All that is required if needed is a quick wipe and I do not suggest putting any type of tape over the sensors.

The HP are definitely better because they have 2 diodes in each sensor which are polarized horizontally & vertically. Not only do you get much better coverage, but it doubles up on everything that an already high performance single gives you. Is it needed to achieve JTG or JFG results- it depends.

Take me for example. I have the regular quad and my setup will give similar results to that of an HP setup being shot either the easy way and/or tougher positions just because of my install. The install is everything for a sensors performance or 95 percent of it. Not the saying the single is equal, I'm just trying to say its not necessarily needed.

If you've got the funds then get the HP no doubt. If you have to install stealth due to jammer restrictions then the HP will be better. If the car has poor mounting options then get the HP. If you want the bragging rights then get the HP

If you're gonna install the sensors optimally, then the single diode dual or quad will work just fine and can give JTG/JFG results. Whatever you choose to go with get your setup tested and good luck.

This is just one occasion when I was all bugged out and was really bad and is was much worse in person. I've even had it worse than this too.

Actually my LI heads have two holes in them, but if you have more than that you should send them back!
