photo camera false alerts and random alarm sounds?

I recently installed my LI gen 8. I haven't tested it yet or driven through any LIDAR traps. An SUV set off the LI one day when it pulled up behind me at a red light, but that's it.

One thing I have noticed is that when I accelerate quickly, on occasion, my LI alerts "photo camera, please slow down". It only happens on acceleration though.

The other thing is that sometimes when I start my car, the time between "welcome" and "parking aid deactivated" is filled with a repeating alarm sound.

Any ideas?

The Alert from the SUV was likely from a variant of the Infiniti ICC ( Intelligent Cruise Control) which uses IR that the LI detected because of the proximity to your vehicle.

The repeated alarm sound you heard between the "Welcome" Alert at start-up and the "Parking Aid is Deactivated" Alert was the Parking Aid's proximity sensor functioning as it should.

The Photo Camera is more than likely some RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) from you vehicle. If it persists, feel free to call me at our Technical Support Number below and I will be happy to make some suggestions to address it. This is similar to the false Laser Alert I get from my V1 when I turn on my windshield washer mechanism.

What version of the LI has a Photo Camera Alert? The RLC's in Murfreesboro, TN routinely set off my LI, but I just get the "Unknown Gun" alert.

All Gen. 8's.

If an IR Source appears to be a possible LIDAR threat, LI's fire on the fly Generic Algo will alert and attempt to JAM it.

No, but the Voice Alert can be replaced with an empty file but I do not recommend doing so.

I think I know what the deal was with those alerts. I learned my car has an acceleration volume level control. After hearing about the radio frequency interference I turned that auto volume adjust thing off. I haven't had a false since then, so I'm hoping it's solved.
