    Default Dodge Ram Placement

So after a year of looking I finally made a purchase for a truck. A 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. Can you guys give advice on placement for an LI system and would I be okay with 2 heads in the front or would 4 be needed.

You're definitly going to need four heads. That is a piss load of chrome with a big domeski. You might be able to get away with two LI's HP's but I doubit it. Also, your placements in the rear are two low. Your tail lights will get eaten apart. You're going to need to place the heads right below the taillights on the bumber. Or, get some mounting brackets an mount them right below the taillights

yeah i figured i would probably need some HP for the front. Do you think I could go with a LI Dual HP and an LI Dual standard? I know you can't run the two systems on the same CPU so I would need an individual CPU for each system.

I'd say normal quad on front. HP dual on the rear with the heads directly under the taillights with bubbles in. If you can swing it. Sure it's expensive but it isn't easy to cover. I think a normal quad would do better than an HP dual on the front just because the the huge amount of ground to cover.

Put a dual on the front in the location indicated and have it tested. If you get PT, black out the front bumper. I gave my bumper a rough sanding with 80 grit and then sprayed it with rattle can undercoating. After letting it cure for a few weeks, I coated it with tire gloss (wet look) to make it a nice shiny black instead of looking like old faded pavement. It was JTG against anything the Georgia testers could shoot it with at MOAC.
In the rear, I put the heads in the crack between the tailgate and bumper about 12" in from the sides, but got PT 75% of the time, so I added two more heads up on my headache rack. Some mild testing showed JFG on the rear with 4 heads.
I think that if the heads could be mounted in the upper 1/4 of the tailgate about 12" in from the sides that 2 regular heads would give full protection.

I have an '08 Ram with the chrome grill, bumper and the truck is silver. LI dual up front is all you need, and maybe later on add HP's to the rear. On your picture that someone put a location on...my heads are mounted on the bumper (on top with screws going into the black plastic trim) just below the red marks xxxfairxx put in the picture. I tested my LI at the last Houston Jammer Meet and got mostly JTG with 2 insignificant PT's and one PT at 200'. Tommorow is Houston's meet, so look for the results. I will try to post a picture of my install to clarify where I mounted the heads. I don't have anything for the rear yet so I can't give any insight on mounting location.

thanks for the advise guys. It will be nice when I get some jammers on this thing. Laser is used way to often here in Nebraska, so often that just with my 8500 I still don't feel safe.
