Single Head in the Rear?

After weeks or lurking all these threads and different reviews, I've decided to go with an LI. I've got a 2007 BMW 530i.

Question: I know two is always better than one, but would one head in the rear suffice? I've read that LI has much more power than the other top jammers, so shouldn't one be good enough.

Also, doesn't the LI come with a speaker? I read in other threads guys having to buy a speaker. I'm a missing something?

Typically, a single rear mounted Sensor will not provide adequate protection for a vehicle with the rear IR reflectivity of your 5-Series. As you reside in Hawaii, where Laser in the only electronic type of speed enforcement found there and rear LIDAR shots are more common, you want the maximum amount of protection front and rear.

The LI CPU has a built in speaker which, when mounted in close proximity to the drivers seating position, will be loud enough to allow you to hear its voice alerts. If your install does not allow you to do so or you have a high ambient cockpit noise level, the LI does have a provision for a user provided external speaker such as the Escort amplified speaker or you may use any small mobile communications speaker such as those used for CB and Ham radio applications.

Would a single HP transponder be any better or would it have the same problem detecting the LIDAR signal?

For me it's a space/install issue for 2 rear heads.

Two spaced sensors are better than a one centrally installed as you will have better detection with two than just the one, even an HP.

Cool... One more ? while you're here... Can the front heads be inserted from the front into the grille of a dodge charger? Then pull the wires up by opening the hood without removing the grill at all?

Without actually trying to do so on your particular application, I can't say for sure but most are able to do so without having to remove their grill as the sensors are not that tall.

Sometimes 2 heads for the rear of a BMW light not be enough. Do NOT go with only one head, get two at least
