Default Anyone here live in South Carolina & have a Laser Jammer

Here pretty soon I'm starting my trek to Texas and about 2 hours of it will be spent cruising through SC. I hadn't realized until I went to the GOL site that SC has banned jammers.

Anyone have any first hand experience they would care to share with me or places I should be particularly cautious at? We'll be on I-85 the whole time until we hit Atlanta.

    TIA!

    Abe

I would say better safe than sorry, just flip that switch and turn the sucker off for the 2 hours you are in SC. When I'm in states that the radar detector is illegal, I don't even mess with it. Just unplug it, throw it in the glove box, and plug her back in when I get to more friendly skies.

lol, my bad. I know just how you feel. Have a CB radio? I always take one on long trips. The truckers are always calling out the locations of the bears.

I don't but then again, I'm making the trip with my wife who has a lower patience threshold that wouldn't lend itself well to 22 hours in the car with CB radio chatter, ha ha.
