NYPD Lidar

Hello everyone -

Can anybody tell me which Lidar units are being used by NYPD?

I will be going to traffic court on Monday for a LIDAR offense - nothing like doing some last-minute research, huh? Actually, I've done quite a bit of research, and this site has been immensely helpful. I'm just seeking to fill in some of the blanks and further strengthen my case.

I got tagged in the Bronx by the guy in the Charger. I have no idea what gun he was using, but we were so close that we probably could have shook hands.

Is there a thread with pictures of the business end of these things?

nevermind... checking out GoL, I'm almost positive that it was that LTI Ultralyte.

This too was in the Bronx - on the Hutch at Bruckner Boulevard. He was underneath the interchange where all of the roadways come together, obscured by both the underpass and the zillion large concrete pillars and other obsctructions.

No brand new charger for that guy though.

I got tagged on the Belt pkwy in brooklyn about a year and a half ago before my v1 and countermeasures days. When the officer handed me ticket, I asked him how he got me, he said laser, pro laser III. Not sure if nypd in brooklyn is using the same hardware as in the bronx, but I wouldn't doubt it.

My first laser save from my Blinder was almost there... on the Hutch going towards the Whitestone. I went over the drawbridge and he was sitting right by the 95 junction, looking at me with his gun.

I generally don't see them out there much though... they like to sit on 95 proper, near Conner Street hiding in the shoulder. I see someone pulled over basically every day when I go that route.
