Hey guys, first post. yay! anyways...

I appreciate all the info being posted up and especially the videos. This is so amazing to have such a resource at hand and local!

Here is my setup (not yet installed but on it's way). Valentine 1 detector and a Laser Interceptor Dual unit. From what I gather, there is no point having POP detection enabled and very rarely do we use X band here in Alberta. I'm tempted to turn it off to help quiet down the Valentine 1. However I just recently read a thread entry from Jan/09 (Title"Ka and POP within the city, Calgary AB?? - Post # 27 - Poster:Botts)
that says that we're now seeing some X band popping up.

So basically, I'm wondering what your opinions are. Should I keep X Band on?

If you're driving in big cities (Edmonton, Calgary etc.) turn X band off.

However, if you're driving in a small city, especially in the south, you may wanna keep it on, as some local LEO might have 1 still kicking around.
